What would be your very first purchase? And let's not dumb it down by saying something stupid like "I'd buy a solid gold car with enormous jet engines on it!!!!"

So to start, I'd buy:

A solid gold car with enormous jet engines on it!!!

Probably a gas station; preferably one with either a service station or a mini-mart. I think it'd be a good investment, I've always wanted to be a business owner.

1)pay off my house
2)build the machine shop I always wanted in the back yard...
3)build a hydrogen bomb in the machine shop
4)???
5)RULE THE WORLD!

As an addendum to my solid gold rocket car, I've always wanted to own a really rare/expensive piece of artwork.

I'd put it in an overly cliche display case with laser security and booby traps. Then when a thief came to try to steal it, I'd slowly turn around in my ridiculously evil looking office chair and say something villainous like "I had a feeling you'd show up."

This chair would do nicely.

If I had a million dollors, the first thing I would buy is the Batmobile (the Tumbler), no doubt about it.

In reality: investment property (since the market is starting to head back up again)... fuck, on a million dollars I wouldn't even be able to stop working. A million just ain't what it used to be.

True enough, in today's business market a million is just start-up capital.

Yeah, I doubt a million bucks would even last 10 years here in California; unless you're pretty well off to begin with. Better off moving back to the Pacific, but then you run the risk of getting kidnapped for your notoriety.

Fantasy: Buy my own catapult and use it to launch anything I own that I've started getting bored of and certain things my siblings like using to press my buttons like my sister blaring the computer speakers with her Disney teeny-bopper music.

Reality: Use it to pay off my college loans and computer, buy up titles I want for my anime and manga collections and save the rest for anything else that comes to mind.

I'd buy a ton of computer equipment. My microphone isn't really that great, and I'd generally get the best possible hardware. My hardrive in particular is especially lacking (250 GB of storage space isn't much). I'd also get a better guitar. The one I have is almost ten years old. Plus, I'd buy all the anime I've been wanting.

Oh, and I'd get some dijon ketchup, too.

You know, I probably wouldn't do anything that special with a million dollars. Just live out my life in a comfortable stupor knowing that I don't have to worry about money for a while, but that's not any fun, so let's go big.

First, I'd buy the Saint Louis Rams (because everyone knows the Rams would sell for less than a mil). Then, I'd go on TV and rub it in that dumb ass Rush Limbaugh's face that I succeeded where he failed. Then I'd sell the team to get my money back. Then I'd once again stick it to Rush that I can do what he can't. Then I'd buy a movie theater. There. Perfect plan.

If I felt particularly ballsy at the time, I'd hire a bunch of cute Japanese girls to do a ensemble Strike Witches cosplay. Then arrange a surprise shoot at the Vatican.

I would, of course, hire Rick Astley as a distraction since I doubt security would take kindly to all that.

I'm surprised it hasn't been said yet, so I really have to say it. (I'm actually surprised it didn't cross my mind when I first saw this thread.)

I would pay off my parents debts. maybe get a house with whats leftover. invest or save some. donate some to charity.

Repay the medical bills, property loss, and replacement car from my car accident Thursday.

Damn insurance company is being stubborn.

I've thought this through so many times...

1) Buy a 7-11 store in a good location ($25,000 - $100,000)
2) Revamp it with new fridges, soda fountains, appliances, etc. ($20,000 - $40,000)
3) Buy a house close to the 7-11 ($300,000 - $400,000)
4) Buy furniture and appliances for said house ($10,000 - $15,000)
5) Put $100,000 in bank for security ($100,000...lol)
6) Distribute whatever I have left to my family
7) Live comfortably for a long time by running the 7-11 as normal


I don't need a new car. I don't need anything fancy. I just want to live a comfortable life in my own piece of the world. I would invest in my own liquor store, but 7-11's are much more secure when it comes to longevity. Maybe after a few years I'd do it, but this would be my initial plan for a million dollars...
