I don't know about calling that thing a 'museum piece', Elfen. Auto Ordnance still produces and markets Thompsons today.

Nacht -I think the Thompsons produced today are meant more for collectors then serious tactical use. Though to be fair, one of the old Thompsons isn't a submachine gun I'd want to be on the wrong end of in spite of its age.

I'm curious though... is that a viola case or a violin case it's in? I'm wondering if I need to reconsider some of my character's weaponry based on how much disassembley that thing needs to fit in that case...

Is the StG44, MP40, KAR98K, MG42 and Mauser C/96 'museum pieces'...?

...can't help with Frederick's taste of weapons.

But really, that M1921 Thompson looks real sweet~! If I have the time and money I'll upgrade my M1A1 SMG airsoft into the M1921A1 Thompson Laughing

I suppose they are. Those weapons aren't produced/in common use anymore.

The fact that you asked whether a pistol that is loaded with stripper clips was a museum piece, or not gives me pause for thought.

I'm with Nachtsider though, they are all museum pieces.

From what I've heard, the SKS Simonov is still in production. Though there are removable box magazine versions out as well. The old stripper clip version is also still in production for the fans of old fashioned loading.

Personally, if I were to buy an SKS, I'd buy the latter.

Yeah. Although I heard that the middle eastern guerilla groups uses the StG 44...I think. I know that the Mauser C/96 were still produced as a collector's weapon...

Yup, the Haenel weapon is still in use (albeit in a very limited fashion) by Mideast guerillas - the ammo continues to be produced by a few arms manufacturers in Egypt and the Czech Republic. If I'm not mistaken, some were recently captured by U.S. forces in Iraq.

Though her doing a drive-by shooting of an Italian speakeasy from the Porsche just doesn't have that nostalgic feel of her doing it from, say, a 1928 Cadillac. Wink

True. And that Thompson would also take a little longer to get battle ready then her P-90.

With all that assembling, the oiling, the check and what-not? True...

but you could always prepare that beforehand and do the drive-by shooting later.

More like in a boat carving Jose's bone into the Tommy gun's stock while his head is on display (figure she had a fight with Ferro. You know who the victor is).

She might say the line (to Jose's severed head): 'Jose, I made a foregrip and butt-stock of the Tommy gun out of you! Now we can be together forever and I won't be afraid of losing you ever again!'

...considering Henrietta, I do not want to know what will happen 5 months ahead to Jose's head by then.

That was one seriously messed-up anime, but then so was the game it was based on, I am told.
