Lego Beretta 93R contest!
Because of Sakura's last question on how many parts went into a Gun out of Legos. I have counted the number of bricks in my model of the Beretta 93R
(Click photo for full view in a new window)
But I desided to have a bit of fun with the actual count while at it.
The contest rules:
1. the objective is to guess the number of parts that went into the creation of this model.
2. the one that comes the closest to the actual number of parts wins. (And I do mean every part.)
Contest running time: This contest will end on the 19th of June.
I'll announce the winner then.
Prize: I will PM the winner, and He or She will have the opportunity to pick a gun that he or she wants to see built out of Lego's, this project will be bumped to the first place of Projects that I have planned. (keep in mind though, that I'll have to say if It's do able or not, becuase these are bricks, I have a limit on what I can replicate, Sci-fi weapons also do-able with the same restriction. Bumping an allready planned project to Number 1 is also an option.)
In addition, This project will not just be show on Photo's, but also on video material as an added bonus, with me showing off the weapon once completed. along with detailed information: Weight, length and so on.
The Counting: Though i took the liberty of making a Photo that has the weapon in a Field stripped like manner; I want to know the total count your guessing. Only one guess a person!!!

Lol, not an easy task, but a doable one. I have created a Berrett before.
But seriously, saying that now is like Counting your chickens before they'd hatched.

Re: Lego Beretta 93R contest!
Lost count at 121 (EDIT-While on the) 'main body'... It's hard to tell where one Lego block ends and the next begins on the red sections.
I'm likely wrong, But I'd estimate the number of pieces you've used in this is in the ~230's reigeon.

Re: Lego Beretta 93R contest!
well, the main body is incomprehensible to me, since a good portion of those parts weren't available when I was a kid, and I haven't built anything out of legos since I was about nine years old...
but it looks like the parts other than the main body are fairly straightforward... so I'm gonna use sasahara's lost count, add in what I counted and then thirty on top for good measure and missed parts... and come up with 262 parts.
so, 260-ish is my vote.

Well, You have time to reconsider your count Until the 19th.
I take the last posted guess as a final guess. so just post a new one if you dont trust your current.

LOL...I actually won? After seeing everyone else's numbers I thought I didn't have a chance. Plus I thought the guys would have more fun picking a gun for you to make. I'll think about it and then send you the PM with my choice (probably for you it'll be in the morning since I'll be back on later this evening).

Re: Lego Beretta 93R contest!
Thanks guys for the congrats.
I sent Tommy a PM with my first and an alternate choice since my first pick might require too many legos. Once he gets the PM I'm sure he'll let you all know what I asked for.

Though I love the support, Unless your able to speak Dutch... dont bother calling my ISP.
95% of the people there are able in English...
its strange though, I changed the way I get my internet from my power box to my pc...
I was using power adaptors. IOW: small box's you push into the power plug, that basiclaly run Ethernet signals through your power wires, so that you dont have to have a UTP cable running across the floor.
I switched to a normal UTP now, and it works like clock work... very strange...
then again, its 00:25 in the moring around here, so there is close to no internet activity.. Unless there are late night gamers and torrent downloaders around here
