"Pied-Rouge" : A Short Story Empty "Pied-Rouge" : A Short Story

Passion Lives Here is almost ready to go, but it will be stuck in limbo for a while longer while I batter my head against a brick wall trying to wring something coherent out of my web hosting providers. While waiting for messages to get back to me (and then refer me on to another department), I penned this story.

Alfisti was quite good to me recently with his help in developing Agapita's visual design, and I wanted to make it up to him in a way that was more significant and lasting than just typing out a thank-you message. To that end, I took the down-time between letters to the Customer Services desk as an opportunity to give his own OCs a little more exposure by penning a story featuring Jethro and Monty (this is posted with Alfisti's blessing).

Pied-Rouge is set in the city of Algiers in the weeks following Dante's attack on Venice. As the Agency's overseas-operations fratello, J&M have been dispatched to North Africa to chase up Dante's contacts and interrupt his supply lines, to prevent him from mounting something so ambitious as the St. Mark's Cruise Missile again.

Enjoy! Criticism is, as always, much appreciated.

Excellent, Robert! Well done.
And I must say this is a first- a barrowed set of OCs first appearing on a story other than their creator's! Nice!

I had to fix some Wiki formatting on your page there. The Deviant art page blank link was giving issues, so its been delinked. It can be relinked when there is a link. (trying saying that 3X fast!)

And thus I have to add Jethro and Monty's OC character pages up to the wiki (Currently blank), so look for updated versions coming soon!

Well, you already know my views on this, but the cliffs notes version: Bloody brilliant, you've really portrayed the characters really well and the writing is as previoiusly mentioned: exceptional.

I'm always interested to see other's interpretations of my characters and it's particularly interesting to me to see prose. Thing is: when I create characters I tend to just draw them in different situations etc, reacting in their own way as I understand them. Rarely will I actually write a cohesive storyline so...

Either way, massive thanks and no worries on the design help... it's good for me to be able to take a mental break from uni-related work as well.

Agreed. A few authors are working on projects with my OC's and I am really looking forward to seeing how they turn out.
