Jawjuh meetup
Well, on his walkabout through the States, Professor Voodoo decided to make a sliiiiight detour (read: 2.5 hours out of his way) to come visit Savannah..... regrettably on a day when I had to work.
However, he was a good sport about it, and we walked about my mall gig with me, racking up the miles, and winning the approval of both my daughter and (more importantly) my protective wife, who has offered to cook for him if he ever makes it back down here.
Next time, let's schedule it ahead of time, and I'll find you a better time. My hosting has been challenged, and I will rise to the occasion! *grins*

Wahhh!! *is jealous* Still sounds like a fun time! ^___^ Glad you guys got to meet up. :3
A bunch of us should get together someday. Just go to Florida and hang out in Universal Studios. (This is not an attempt for me to just go back to Jurassic Park, I swear!!)

Re: Jawjuh meetup
I considered it a fun day, walking the mean streets of the Oglethorpe Mall. Every time I meet someone from the forum we end up doing something new & unexpected.Officer_Charon wrote:Well, on his walkabout through the States, Professor Voodoo decided to make a sliiiiight detour (read: 2.5 hours out of his way) to come visit Savannah..... regrettably on a day when I had to work.

Since we're both suffering some epic writer's block perhaps we should have done some joint brainstorming with our time.Kiskaloo wrote: With the two of you together, I expect an epic short story .
In reality; get two veterans together and you end up getting a lot of military stories. I got to hear all about how much effort the Marines put in and Charon got to hear all about the tricks us Air Force guys employ to put in the minimum amount of effort.
Expect an incident about Marisa trying police-grade pepper spray on her lunch in an upcoming episode.
Florida seems a bit out of your way but what the hell...I've got nothing against long drives (I actually have a cousin and a few friends spread around the state). Lots of good diving in Florida...maybe it'll get me moving on the next Marisa story.Triela wrote:A bunch of us should get together someday. Just go to Florida and hang out in Universal Studios. As far as Jurassic Park goes...I'm in Atlanta as I write this, waiting to visit the Fernbank Museum of Natural History tomorrow (pics to come). There's a dude with no pants on hanging out in front of my hotel and a transvestite hooker roaming the halls. Exotic territory indeed...

Las Vegas & Florida...you do realize there's a significant number of kilometers between these points, right? I admit; I have made such drives...solo even...but were you to visit the states I'd imagine you'd wish to spend your time relaxing...not testing your driving endurance.Alfisti wrote:Cyborg Central Road Trip? Maybe we need a motorhome and at least four qualified (sober) drivers to pilot it for our Cyborg Central Road Trip.

I'm perfectly aware it's a long way... remember, my country's pretty much the same size as yours... we just put less people in it .Professor Voodoo wrote:Las Vegas & Florida...you do realize there's a significant number of kilometers between these points, right? Actually, putting me in a car is one of the better ways to get me to sit still and relax

I don't mind long road trips provided I am behind the wheel of a luxo-barge. I've done many a multi-state run behind the wheel of a Ford Panther platform car (Town Car / Crown Vic / Grand Marquis). Alas, now that they're gone, I guess it's Mack Daddy Caddy for me going forward. That or a new JJJaaagggg XJ.

I'm feeling restless, sick and tired of being in this rut... anyone fancy coming on down here for a visitation? I'll see if I can wrangle a stay at the hotel I work at, for a discounted rate. *grins*

Re: Jawjuh meetup
I would, but it's a bit of a detour from Tokyo and not one I'm certain my credit card can handle right now...

Re: Jawjuh meetup
I am right handed. The radio is on my left shoulder so I can manipulate it whilst wielding my firearm. The SECOND radio in the photo is the Security radio for the mall I was working at.
I wear my watch on my right hand because that's just the way I've always done it... it feels strange otherwise.

humm, i remember that type of behavior, it's called lost-handed, which mean either when you're lefty when you're a kid and gradually over time the surrounding made you right handed.
(P.s; i studied human psychology and behaviorism as my 8th subject)

Re: Jawjuh meetup
Not really. I just remember the first time I put on a watch, it simply felt right putting it on my right wrist. In the same manner that every time I attempted some new feat of dexterity, my right hand was the dominant hand.
Psychology is wonderful, and a useful tool in many situations, but let's not overthink things here...
