So, after speaking with my wife, she stated that because she gets a trip to the beach next week with our daughter I can't go because of work obligations), she doesn't see any reason why I shouldn't be allowed to have a little fun trip of my own.

Now, that being said, after this idea got passed around in ChatBox a couple weeks back, a few others expressed some interest in heading to the event as well.... any takers?

Depending on response, I MAY be able to score an additional hotel room at an employee rate... I'll have to ask about that.

Count me interested... however, though I think my finances could absorb the hammer blow, the timing may be inconvenient. Will let you know.

How did I miss this back in June? I've been anxious to attend that for years, and Road Atlanta is a great track to watch a race.

Well, I was working in October (the time of the race) anyway. I'll be heading through Georgia sometime next week, Charon...interested in grabbing a beer?

Yeah, that particular plan I think fell over unfortunately. I wound up working through October as well so...

I would suggest this year, but it's looking increasingly likely that I'm going to wind up at the Festival of Speed and I don't know if my bank account can absorb two overseas motorsport events in one year.

Of course, if anyone feels like joining us in England...

Yeah, the Petit Le Mans plan fell through... Darned shame, because I was looking forward to it...

We have a few minor motor festivals here in Savannah, too, come to think of it... nothing major, mostly just rich people showing off their toys, but still... *grins*
