Hope Everlasting

On April 15, 2010 my mother had a devastating stroke that left her paralyzed on the right-side and lacking on a few mental faculties of logic and complex decision making. Since then things have been up and down, not just with her but with me as well. Rehabilitation construction to this building we live in since last June would delay her return home to June of 2012. She was making some strides but the healing process for her has been slow. Only good thing was that her stroke was on her left side, where math and logic was and not language. She was able to speak to her friends and family during her lengthy hospital stay. She would die there this morning.

Mom died at 6:38AM this morning (7/4/11). I wont know the cause until I get the death certificate. Funeral plans are pending as this is a holiday and many places like banks and government offices are closed.

For the time all this happened and the years before in taking care of her, hope was there. Now its gone. She's in a better place and in a better situation.

You have my condolences, Elfen. I cannot imagine how hard it must be to lose your mother, and I pray that she is in a better place.

ElfenMagix, I know there is nothing I can say that will ease your sorrow, but for what it's worth, I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

As is probably resonably documented through this paricular board by now: I'm terrible at this sort of thing. So in place of all the things I'd want to say, but can't form cohesively into words: you have my condolences and deepest sympathy.

I can only echo the words that others have already said - I truly am sorry for your loss. All I can add is, at least she was able to communicate with all of you towards the end of her life. We must always look for the positive aspects, it could always have been worse.

I'm not expecting anyone here to get there then but at least you know where it is.

This news comes with great sorrow as I can still recall the first PM's we shared on your Mother's progress. I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way, but upon reading the news it was the first thing to come to mind.
