For those who have plenty of HDD space, the fan subbers are starting to release the new Black Lagoon Blu-ray discs that have been released in Japan.
You can find them on http://www.tokyotosho.info.

Re: Black Lagoon Blu-Ray Fan Subs Now Available
Why would anyone watch Black Lagoon subbed? It's like prostrating oneself in front of the Balrog! The dub is absolutely fantastic, so people should just wait for the dubbed Blu-ray release.
Plus, from the other anime series I've seen on Blu-ray, they're nothing special. Blu-ray itself is nothing special as I see it.

Evidently the group doing it - OCZ - muxed the subs and dub from the R1 DVD, so you can watch it with the American voice cast.
As for Blu-ray disc quality, it depends on the movie and the transfer. For stuff shot on HD film or pure CG (like PIXAR and such), it looks amazing.

Those just hit the web and am watching them now.
I almost wet myself on the second one - "Magical Girl Radical Revy".

EDIT: Found most of them on youtube in case anyone else is interested. Simply search for "Black Lagoon Omake Subbed" and you should get more than enough hits.

Have to say that the actual episodes of Black Lagoon look very nice in Blu-ray. And, as noted, the OZC releases have the English 5.1 audio track and English subs (both from the US DVD release) in addition to the default Japanese 2.0 track.

When The Melancholy of Balalaika was mentioned, I thought someone was referring to this.

I think most if not all the anime omakes are adaptations of omakes from the manga. BTW though, are you finding translations of all the anime omakes? I've only found translations for some of them.

I downloaded fansubs of the Blu-rays. I can't speak for YouTube.
